This project was a way to wrap up this year of STEM. Our goal in this project was to find a world problem and solve that problem using biology. This project was on of the hardest and longest projects. Our group decided to focus on the pollution and waste that sports stadiums create. We focused most directly on trash. To solve this problem we researched how we can biodegrade plastics to educe the amount of trash going to landfills. Below is our presentation that we created in order to persuade people to invest in our "company."
Overall, this project was good for the reason that it gave us a chance to see how many problems are in the world and how we can use biology to fix them. Seeing the amount of trash that actually builds up in sports stadiums definitely was surprising. Working with my group members was fun especially since we all play baseball so we know how this will change the stadiums we play at. This project was a wake up call and completing it as our final was a great way to end the year in STEM Biology Prison.
